Would you join a team of computer gamers? Probably not. Who will pay your bills, feed your family, pay your home loan, etc? What kind of responsibility could you take care of?
But, what-if the game your designed / developed / testes / played for the next 2 or 3 years made you very rich?
I'm sure some of the developers of WOW (World of Warcraft) also hesitated joining the team in the beginning.
