    You won't be sorry.

And just in case you get the wrong idea, you don't have to spend a fortune. The idea isn't to live beyond your means. Just make it solid. Clean, crisply pressed jeans and a button-up short sleeve shirt is better than a worn-out suit.

Well stupid little old me help them out at my own cost and is poorer for it! No payment was made; no deposit was given to me. All that hard-work was unrewarded and they “the bastards” ran off with a proper product “for free”

The really sad thing here is I really DO know better!!!!!!!!!

All I can say is “School is expensive”

However it is the last time that will ever happen.

from being in bussiness 19 years in feb...there are few things i have learnt.

cash flow is the key to success...no cash flow no bussiness no matter how big the contracts you have...you will shut down when the money runs dry and you use up all you resources...i have seen lots companies and customers come and go over the years.

it you want to be successful in bussiness you must become a good bussinessman and not a good tradesman or techy...the less you do the work and the more you delegate the bigger your bussiness will grow...i am guilty of becoming a good tradesman not a good bussinessman...thats why i still do the work myself.

something else which will never cease to amaze me is how many people know how to run my bussiness and make a success of it... process the advice but always go with your gut feel only you will be accountable for the decision you make.

    and dont trust anyone.

If you can master the business skills as well, I reckon that's the least stressful way to be in business though. I remember that patch as the least stressful time of my business life. Not the most profitable, but definitely the least stressful.

People seem to forget that business in the old days was based on capital and a fresh idea to earn money and keep clientele.

Today business is about working for yourself because you cannot find work. The dynamics is deferent and the risks are astronomical then there is the diminished knowledge base. ..

Today’s life is difficult and I think you may agree that getting the contract became a totally new ball game. It is about the bling, the politics not to mention the pitfalls.

So the question is strategy and even now it is becoming a dog eats dog world.

bussiness was 19 years ago when i started and still is all about who you know...especially when it comes to contracting.

sales is a different ball game...its about having a product that every one wants or needs...the quickest way to get rich is to sell a product...not a service...like my father in law once said i dont dont got to site to help people even though i am the best in the bussiness because i could loose a 5 million rand order by not being at my desk...i could only make a small percentage by going to site...it also then becomes a big risk because i have to drive on our roads...or chances are a pole could fall on me on site...and he has got rich over the years...but still working at 80 years old...doesnt know how to enjoy life even though he has more money than you could win in the lotto...

life is all about choices...try enjoy the journey and dont become a mole... like lots of us do...we get so drawn in by the money ...you can be in the middle of the desert and have an absolute ball...its what you make of it...dave seems to be enjoying the journey by all his pics of travelling...maybe i should get some tips from him.

    The pitfall with product is:

    A>> Availability
    B>> Storage Cost
C>> How long does the product last
    D>> Product Popularity

Still in the end of the day it is always about the social network. Really dangerous grounds especially in the growing market and need for contracts. All in all money making is a new kind or art and you cannot help but to work 24 hours a day just to earn a little something << if you are lucky that is.

Not 'Bling' but quality, who cares if you drive a BMW it just means a larger HP but if you pitched up in a 'Morgan' that means serious 'Ka Ching'

Burbury and Pringle are old school money, Armani is so 'Noveau Riche'

Making money shouldn't be the goal. Making money just helps to achieve one's goals.

    Does that help any?

Murdock, if you're happy doing what you're doing - if it gives you satisfaction - you're probably ahead of the game, my mate.
