For as long a humans operate on "auto pilot", ie closed mind/mechanical, reacting in stead of ACTING, we will always be susceptible to manipulation.

The mind is a powerful resource, but as science has proved...it is rarely used to full capacity, hence the dumbing down, and the stupyfying of society.

Its so ironical that people throw "proof" around, that they got from TV, radio, magazines and newspapers, which they never question.

They care more for the lates Celeb scandal, than what is really going on...the mind boggles

Well, the world as about to wakeup knee-deep in crap. Yes think about this, right now South Africa is the land of corrupt minds and we are all victims to this corruption. However, let us not jump to conclusions yet. I don’t see mega billions being spend on bunkers and the like. I don’t see mega billions being spend on “indoor” cultivation projects.

So it is safe to say that global warming will come and go with relatively low consequence. Wars will be played out on the lands of the poor because the rich don’t feel like rebuilding their cities and move their banks.

The awaking you speak of would have to be properly refered to as the Resurrection...only individuals who wish to commit themselves to doing good will recieve reward, the rest will be condemned if they don't. It's simple choices.

Good people rewarded, bad people punished.

"auto pilot" = "ignorance" ...and that is no excuse ...for thier ignorance they will be chastized...everybody needs to pay attention to pass life 101 ....you snooze you loose....

Worrying about earthly things does not get anyone anywhere of value...."Celebs" and stuff...all illusions....distractions to keep them from the Divine...
...let crappy things like that boggle those with crappy minds....

Well I like earthly things. Especially things with big V12 engines, I like to listen to beautiful voices singing and I would like to have a big bank account and more importantly the things I can DO with that money I would like even more.

See life is only temporary... So why suffer for it? To me wealth was once measured in those who I cared for. Now it is how much I can earn and nothing else matters. Because as in everything; religion, friends, family and your soul-mate, they will all leave you when things get tuff and only know you when times are good.

I say emotion is a fallacy and above all it corrupts. So I take my medication and all the feelings just go away and I can function, perform and earn. There is nothing wrong with wanting just that...

This be very true. However, the implications are mixed. For example, does this reduce religion to a panacea - a crutch for human weakness?

First off you have no Idea... Right now I am just trying to keep my composure. If I had to type the things that are going through my mind right now... there is no telling what will happen but it will not be pretty.

Fact is there must be a higher power, if it is divine or man made? I dare not answer. But all I know is when you look at the world and see the state that it is in... Then think about this:

Why is this “higher power not helping anyone?”

Now there are only two possible answers.

    A>> It does not exist.
    B>> It does not care.

@Dave "does this reduce religion to a panacea - a crutch for human weakness?"

Religion can never be reduced...only the faithless reduce thiers by their own doing........

@Tec0:"Why is this “higher power not helping anyone?”

You obviously haven't read my words nor have faith in my faith....

You should go to church some time...or hang out with saved peoples.....

Oh please... Here we are. Who is good who is better and who is going to chip us and put barcodes on our foreheads? Look in all honesty the blind is leading the arrogant and where they will go only time may tell, but as time has a tendency to forget and memories fade.

Tell you what... if had to go to place filled with people that only wants to tell me how wrong I am and how perfect they are... well then it is probably better for everybody’s health if I don’t go...
