how to run credit check on international clients?

    Hi all,

I hope someone can shed some light on this matter for me. We recently notice a lot of signups from international clients, but very specifically for ZA based VPS's - which are more expensive than normal shared hosting accounts. While we enjoy the business, I'm a bit concerned about fraud and need some pointers on how to check for fraudsters from other countries. In our own country this is rather easy, but I don't know how todo this with people from the USA, United Kingdom, Australia or Europe.

We already use Maxmind for fraud checking, but most of the checks are fine, and a lot of the clients do look legit, but some of them look very suspicious.

Any ideas, or pointers on this would help

    That is a surprise!

You probably aren't extending credit, so a credit check might not flag anything. The threat might be some form of abuse...

They could be interested in the IP range or some aspect of resources where they've been having trouble elsewhere.
