Windows 7... a good place to buy

    Hi all,

I checked out the PC Zone website (www.zones.co.za) yesterday, and they have windows 7 on sale. I laughed when I saw their ultimate version was CHEAPER than the home premium at incredible connection. and if you buy windows 7, you can then buy a 160GB external for R7.

I learnt from vista.....windows 7 will have to be live for a long time before I get involved.

    Long live XP

I got a new PC just the other day with Vista Business loaded. The only reason I bought it then was because it came with a voucher for Windows 7. However, I should have read the fine print - it's going to cost me 50 Euros to redeem the voucher

Vista Business used to come with the option of loading XP as well.

Hint...Go with the XP option and save yourself a s&%tload of time.

oh well, I'll be followiing my usual 6 month rule. wait for all the hype to die down, wait for true feedback on how the system really is, let them get all the initial un-noticed flaws out the way and then upgrade. Considering they came out with a 7 update the very first patch tuesday after it was released is a good indicator that there's a lil while to go.

Windows 7 has cleared away most ofthe flaws of vista, but it brought along some new ones aswell. (Just IMHO since I've been through XP business > Vista Ultimate > Win 7 Ultimate, use it or don't )

If it works, why fix it.
