    Favourite Adverts over the years...

    Hi Guys,

On the topic of advertising, I thought it would be a fun idea to mention some of the best adverts that have stuck over the years. South Africa has some of the worlds best adverts and a good ad is one that sticks with you! Very good branding is when a company can link their business with a catch phrase, like the "yebo gogo" MTN advert. Often, from day to day I hear phrases from adverts being used in conversational humour, like "I was talking about the twister", and "excuse me, wheres my chips?"

Maybe too recent to be considered a classic, but the Nando's ad ripping off Julius Malema is the type that really tickles my fancy.

There are effective adverts, but the thing that makes me giggle is when people mix up the company and catch phrase. like the energiser bunny. mtn's yebo gogo. It shows how distinct the ad is but the companys name is lost.
