Old taxes paid on middling income...

Hi I only started earning serious income in the middle of last year.... In any case I did earn about R 8000 in 2006 and about R 18 000 in 2007. I actually looked at the payslips and there was some deductions for PAYE and UIF, in any case isn't there some tax threshold in SA? Can I claim it back or something???
After all every little helps nowadays...

    Thanks

If those were your total earnings in those years, you're certainly below the tax threshold.

Were you a registered tax payer then (and now )?
