    Help with Pastel Payroll Partner

I have loaded 4 partners with the same salaries. Now all four of the deductions are different,I have checked and each partners profile is set up the same, surely the deductions should be the same amount? Any advise as to why this would happen?

    Hi Celly

It's hard to say without having the program open in front of me. You say that the employee profiles are exactly the same, did you also make sure you loaded exactly the same masterfiles for them (i.e. 1000 for normal salaries, 2000 for normal wages)?

That's all I can think off from the top of my head, I hope you figure it out!

I'm not familiar with the software, or possibly more important - the profile of your directors' income. It's not just about gross income. Do they have different vehicle allowances? Are any of them over 65 years old? How about differences in pension, RA or medical aid contributions?

    Hi Celly007

The SITE/PAYE calculation will be affected by:

    1. Employment Start date
    2. Employee Date of Birth
    3. Tax Method selected
    4. Transactions used for Earning payments
    5. Deductions like medical aid, pension, RA processed against earnings

Your best option is to email support@pastelpayroll.co.za. The consultant will assess your setup to determine why the deductions differ for each partner.
