I still use it for a ghost copy of my C drive ( to restore the raw OS as it was when first loaded ), but use Goodsync to mirror all my data and work to my laptop. That way, I can travel on a moments notice, and always have a current backup.
Dave it is not a ghost problem - mostly when you change the hardware Windows XP will BSOD - usually a repair install will fix this but you have to apply all Windows Updates etc. again and XP will need to be reactivated.

Buy yourself a program called Getright - it will resume the download where it stopped before you disconnected. Even with my ADSL connection I find it worthwhile.

Anyone heard of Hiren's boot CD? I've been told that there is a hdd imaging software on it but i don't know how much it would cost nor where to get it.
I'm sure there might be someplace on the internet where i could get it but please take into account my terrible internet connection. (once again due to MTN, Vodacom and Telkom)

The download is 158 MB and it tells you also which programs is included.
Again Getright will solve your problem.

158mb is still way too big. I've found a trial version of O&O Diskimage 3. Its a very small DL at under 7mb.
