    Apple MacBook wheel

    The onion report

so, apple is releasing a new product. it's the apple MacBook wheel, and as you can see, it's a giant ipod touch pad, a button or two and a screen.

I had to explain to a co-worker why I was laughing so hard (headphones on) when the guy says "I'll buy anything that is shiny and made by apple."

I'll keep my comments about de-evolution of mankind till after a few posts.

You know i found it hard to believe its easier than a keyboard! And to be honest I was shocked to find it was one button!

My favorite quote: "It only took me 45 minutes to write an email" (5 lines long)
once there was a man. the end.

"You can reach any file in your computer within a few hundred clicks"

    OK. Was that for real?

For starters, no speech recognition option for input?
If you're going to throw away the keyboard, at least let me talk to the sucker.

well, they got officials from apple to do demos. so I can only imagine it is for real, or they haven't realised just how retarded it sounds yet. I loved watching some of the people's faces screwed up with concentration as they read through the predictives for that one they want. and I laughed when they had "the aardvark..." one of the most possibly useless statements at the top.

and of course your 45 minute email is going to be useless if you aren't on power (battery lasts max 20 minutes). at least the onion managed to take the p**s out of it ^^. the reporter at the end:
"it remains to be seen if the wheel will catch on in the business world where people use computers for actual work, and not just dicking around"
