    Metro ambulance??

Not sure were to post this but here goes.
What would you do in this case?

Two years ago I had a tachy heart episode and was transported to hospital by Metro ambulance.
Today I get a call from lawyers to say I must pay R3200.00 for the 15km trip.
I have never received any accounts from them or final reminder. I sent them an email saying that I will not pay until I get an account that I can scrutinize.

I think my doc got lost for 2 years and resurfaced now.

That would indeed be the first step (although a faxed letter followed by post would be better). They must provide the basis of their claim.

Ask them for a copy of your order requisitioning this service. Tell them if its not there in triplicate with all ten of your partners signatures then it isn't valid. Then let them know that you are not BEE compliant and as such they had no right to do business with you in the first place. Lastly tell them you are unemployed and as such they should send the bill to the govt health department for their attention thanking them very much for doing a Stirling job and to keep up the good work. If none of that works - send a short note telling them that you had another heart episode after reading their life threatening demands and are now completely indisposed and unable to attend to this matter in any way any more.
