    In-House Affiliate program

    Hi everyone,

I recently had my online shop moved to a great new platform, which has an in house affiliate program (referrers earn commission), and I would like to get your opinions on marketing the affiliate program to website/blog/newsletter publishers.

I have already sent out a couple of e-mails, but that has not given me the result I had hoped for.

    Any ideas?

    What does your shop sell?

To my mind the product helps identify who might be interested. As example, one of the key elements of considering taking on affiliate marketing here to my mind is relevance to who is visiting the site.

The other challenge I see is that if it is just one of these generic "ready stocked" shop deals that are floating around, any site that might carry affiliate marketing might just as well just set up a shop for themselves.

I'm quite curious about the platform you're using.

    Hi Dave,

This is where I come in and explain about the platform

It's called Webshoplive (WSL). Webshoplive is the newest, feature-packed, search-engine-friendly, South-African-focused, easy-to-use Shopping Cart System. It gives those with even minimal internet experience, the ability to create their own online store at an affordable price and reap the benefits of E-commerce. It has been designed with the South African shop-owner and consumer in mind and offers integration with major South African payment gateways and price comparison sites.

Please let me know if you need further details.

Charles I would like to know if you are only targeting the local market or if you are targeting the global market. If you are targeting the global market I would recommend that you look at joining websites such as Casino Affiliate Programs, Casinomeister and the GPWA and ask them for recommendation as to how you should launch your program. You should receive a lot of publicity already from these powerhouses. Due to the current gambling restrictions in the US I expect a good response from especially US affiliates.

Locally, I would recommend that you approach affiliates within the online casino industry locally by simply doing a search on MSN. Google is useless as I know for a fact that most rankings are dominated by only 2 of the top affiliates in the country

    Hi Roelof,

    Thanks for the advice.

My store targets only South African shoppers. My affiliate program is picking up slowly, but nonetheless doing pretty well. I'll do the searches as you suggested.

    Kind regards,
    Charles
