    Forum Polls

    Hi,

I noticed there's a poll on the forum. How often do you have a poll on something? How long does it stay open? Can forum members suggest a new poll when one closes (or is about to close)?

When you post a new thread there is an option to add a poll (see the additional options below the posting box), or one can be added later via the Thread Tools menu. I am not sure if a certain access level is required to post polls though.

I don't seem to have access to that yet. I'll keep checking back, thanks for the info!

You do have permissions to create a poll, kernel32. So maybe you're not looking in the right spot for the option.

When you create a new thread, it's quite far down in the additional options section below the post thread buttons. Once you've ticked the box and hit the reply button, you will be taken to a new page where you can set up the poll details.

As the creator, you can set quite a few options, including a closing date should you want one.

As Duncan mentioned, you can also add a poll to an existing thread, but I think at this stage you might only be able to do that for threads you have started yourself. (Not sure on that part).

Well - don't feel you need to roll them all out at once. One or two a week should be a good pace
