Depends which cycle you are on. I am on the one and my wife on the other, so I also have a VAT day every month.

At least efiling gives you until the last business day of the month...

The return still has to be filed by the 25th. You're right though, at least the account drain itself only happens on the last working day of the month.

    Small mercies...

Take a closer look at the top of your efiling return,

I have it logged as a monthly occurrence on my Google Calendar and it emails me a reminder on the day I have set it for. Works quite nicely for monthly returns like VAT and PAYE. I also have my annual returns noted in the same way (e.g. CIPRO, provisional tax).

At least I get an email reminding me in case I cam suffering from CRAFT disease at the time.

    Now you tell me

I've always paid attention to this part of the returns list in eFiling:

Meantime (as Duncan says) there's this bit on the form itself:

Just in case anyone ever wonders, this is how I learn stuff. Find all the wrong ways to do things first

    Oh well. It's done now.

I will use the calendar idea from now on. Glad I am not the only one suffering from CRAFT. Care to unpack the acronym for the rest of the group?
