Whilst speculation grows as to whether Trevor Manuel will stay or go as Thabo Mbeki leaves office as the State President, I could not help wonder who might be considered a good candidate for the job when the day comes.
South Africa is only a year away from a new president and with economic risks mounting, foreign investors are apprehensive about who will head the continent's most important finance ministry.
