Apparently Sunsynk inverters are manufactured by Deye and the only difference is the software.

Tech support is done by some of the distributors and Sunsynk has tech support in SA, with call centres in Africa and the UK (that I am aware of).

From my experience, tech support is shocking, but has improved over the years, still not something they should be proud of.

Service centres, there is a service centre in SA, which apparently has a long turnaround time (at least 6 weeks).

From my experience installing Sunsynk products, both inverters and batteries, I am yet to have an OFB failure, we unbox and setup the units in the workshop, deliver to site, connect the cables, switch on and they just work.

The only inverter issue we have experienced is an F23 fault on one unit, which we still haven't been able to identify the cause. It happens randomly between 3 -6 months apart, switches off for a minutes and then clears and works for another 4 months without a fault. We have done firmware upgrades, checked the DC and AC and loaded the system to the max limits (no fault) , checked for cloud clipping, reduce the cap limit, monitored the weather, to see if it happens when it rains or the sun at its peak. checked the earthing and bonding.

Do I still recommend Sunsynk products to customers after the breakup with one of the suppliers, yes I do, I believe it is an awesome product and hoping that Keith is going to keep improving the brand. I have no idea what caused the breakup, however I do believe it has damaged brand in SA.

Sunsynk is an all in one unit, which covers everything I need in a solar backup system, much like the Toyota brand, if installed and setup correctly will offer years and years of service.
