We found a great special on the Microsoft 365 Business Licenses that we need to renew next week but our IT guy says he doesn’t know if it’s possible to install these on our current system- the question he is asking is where the portal is to load them so he can still be admin. Is it possible to buy store bought licences and load them onto our existing ones as “renewals”. It’s almost half the price of online renewals.

This all depends on the kind of licenses you are purchasing, there are business licences and home or consumer licenses. Depending on the license type dictates how it can be used and how it can be linked. Also sometimes website sell business licenses which they get from somewhere.... They then have codes which are from Enterprise licenses for a school or Univercity, which then expire a few months down the line.
