I can remember that sometime in the past, this was discussed, but I cannot find it and cannot remember what the outcome was.
Today I came across a cookerhood that is connected directly to the load side of the stove isolator.
The cookerhood has 1,5mm wire and the stove circuit is protected by a 40A circuit breaker. Legal or not ?
I say no because the conductor between the isolator and cookerhood is part of the installation and it is under rated for the circuit breaker or, is the isolator regarded as the point of consumption in which case it would be acceptable ?
