Such a pity that one cannot resolve these issues without following the legal route and going to court.

After all your evidence provided and still no joy, it does seem as if the legal route is the only way to go. Somehow I get the feeling that this is what the council is hoping for. Either you pay up or go to court. They are ruthless and logics does not exist.

It's 2024 and everything that's wrong is right and everything thats right is wrong.

Also a water issue. We are avid rainwater harvesters and don't use water supplied by the municipality.

The problem, however, is that the municipality keeps on renewing the water meter when the reading doesn't change, thinking that the meter is faulty. It then takes up to 6 months each time for the new meter number to reflect on our account. This has happened twice in 3 years.

It sounds crazy but the solution for us has been to use 1Kl of municipal water per month to keep the meter ticking over.

As long as the meter is legal and approved by the NRCS, you will have no problem. All our meters are approved and verified in a SANAS accredited lab.

You may want to report this matter to your local councillor as well, that's why you have voted for him/her.
Excellence is not a skill; its an attitude...
