What a GREAT feeling - I love this internet !!

All the forms are done on e-filing, provisional returns in, VAT done, got myself a huge bonus for the year, all the payments done, all other accounts paid ( so the trial balance will be easy ) and now I can relax for the afternoon and enjoy time with my son, and will sleep easy and soundly tonight.

If you're not having a day like mine, you only got yourself to blame ( or those working for you ).

    Warm Regards,

    Two words...

    Stock take.

Oh, and a few debtors who weren't quite as diligent about paying their accounts.

    OK, DaveA. Understood.

Now I'm going back to playing with the Barney Train Set.

    Nurse!

Have you got any pepper to go with that salt for my wound?

Dave(ob) - I vaguely remember those days. Seems like an age ago, though
Chuffed you're having a good one.

Stock is such a pain in the ass. It is fascinating that we still haven't figured out a better (easier) way to manage it, other than closing everything down and counting it all for a day (or longer...).

Fortunately no worries with stock here....yet. But when I do have it it is millions of little components (no really, I mean tiny!).

    Dave
I thought stock take was the balancing figure for profit. I try and keep my stock to the minimum. We generally have next day delivery for paper.

of course, stock take would not be required if our systems were super efficient, stock pickers actually did their work properly, and the stock, irrelevant of type, didn't grow legs and follow the pied-piper out the door ( the same piep piper who bitches about staying late to do the stock take, and then moans when profits & increases are down ).

that is until the workers at Peters decide to mix up the stock before going on strike and you get 135gsm Magno instead of a ream of 770gsm Triplex Board !!

And again, they moan about having to do the stock take .......

I don't buy from Peters they say I am too small, so I mainly use Papercor. Peter's has never impressed me.
