Go one-on-one against you in any shooter? Not going to happen. I know when I'm licked.

    Chess maybe?

I do think that gamers have a bit of a headstart for running a business, if that is what the article implies. I haven't read it though, but can think of a few things where a gamer could have an advantage over a non-gamer.

Let's say you take two freshmen out of college (they both need some sort of certificate, but let's keep them in the same line of profession).

    - The gamer knows how to take risks. He knew that he had to study for his exams, but he took the risk of playing games in college. How does this help? He'll take a risk for something he really wants, and if he's driven to get more clients, he'll do so.

    - The gamer knows to think for himself. Yes, in a game you need to learn to think ahead, there's no one that takes your hand and walks you through the obstacles, and the same rules apply in a business as well.

    - A gamer will know / learn how to solve problems within a flash. In a game, if you're faced with a big challenge, you normally have a few minutes to get past it, or you die ( and need to try again). In business you could always try again, but at the expense of loosing a client / deal / job / etc. So, by knowing how to think ahead and planning on how to solve a difficult problem, he'll succeed better at it.

    - A gamer generally knows how to prioritize well. In most games, you can only carry so many weapons with you, or have so much cash to build your empire with, before the enemy strikes back, and knowing which weapons to use best, or which buildings / troops / reinforcements to get first will help a lot.

By this I'm not saying a non-gamer won't succeed, but for the same reason as someone with a passion for learning new thing will succeed better (either in a business, or just as an employee) than someone who doesn't want to learn new things.
