    Wire joining in db

Quick question, can join wires in a db or not?
I don't see the logic of it being illegal? It is accessible and most of the time easily visible
If it was illegal to join or extend wires in a db what must one do if you move breakers and wires are now to short or in the case of a burnt neutral? Rewire the circuit?

    Greetings

I am busy with a DB replacement, 60% of the wires are too short, ferule and double sleeve, or if the budget allows fit a row of terminal blocks.

When we built control panels every single wire is joined in the control panels, power and control wires.

Ferrule and insulation tape - no problem. Don't re-wire
