    Is a quote legally binding?

Hi, I would like to know if a quote (for a solar installation) is legally binding? The quote was issued on the 1st of June 2022 and I only signed the quote on the 17th of June 2022. According to the quote, it is only valid for 7 days.

Furthermore, the quote states an 80% deposit of the VAT inclusive amount is required upon acceptance of the quote. Please send the proof of payment along with the signed quote to secure installation date/s. And lastly, the quote states under Acceptance of quote and Terms and Conditions: I the purchaser understand the terms & conditions of this quotation, thus please proceed with the installation as per above.

So my question is am I legally bound by this quotation?

Are you trying to enforce the quote on the supplier?

Pretty much end of argument regardless. Ask for an updated quote and make sure you sign acceptance and submit it within time.

A quote is not an offer, so it is not binding on either party, quite apart from any other considerations.
