My maths is letting me down.
Will a 15Kw element heat a 150 litre geyser to 55 degrees in 2 hrs ?

Meant 1,5 Kw.😁
Thanks. I came right. Google was my friend.
My rule of thumb is 15°C per hour for a 3KW geyser element in a 150L geyser.

Things to remember are;
The temperature of the water in the geyser after use
The temperature of the water flowing into the geyser.
The deterioration of element and how much lime scale buildup there is on it.
At any rate is going to be a complete thumbsuck.

Thank you, brother.
Changed a 3Kw element for a 1,5Kw element so that there's less of a load on the inverter.
Just finished with the job now. Tested and it's doing the job just fine. Time is not a problem, it was the load on the inverter that was problematic.
Another happy customer. 😁
Yep, the reason why I offer my PV based solar geyser controller, it runs independently from the inverter, and the mains back up is a non essential load as far as the inverter is concerned, and therefor you can use a smaller inverter for the application.
I recommend a minimum of a 5.5kWatt Hybrid inverter (Sunsync/Deye) with 10kW of Lithium battery as a backup and a minimum of 2.5kW of solar panels.
Yes it is a little pricey, but a definitely worthy system.
Been running my system since November last year, and save around 14kW of electricity a day in summer, and just under 10kW in winter, excluding my solar geyser which gives me an average saving of 10kW a day, that's 300 litres at above 60°C every day total of 6kWatt in the two elements, except if there is a raining day then I will only get about 3kW. Granted that my start temperatures are around 35 to 40°C every morning. I must say that I use 1 or 2kW a day from mains for heating the water at night due to water consumption and other requirements.
