Commercial washing machine and dryer regulation

I had a call out to install two LG Commercial washing machines and an LG Commercial dryer The manual stipulates that a qualified person must install the equipment and each machine must have its own breaker and isolator or the warranty would be nullified Does this makes sense?

Yes, I have installed the same in a laundry and the manufacturers actually email you (the contractor) a list of requirements. Those requirements in my case were the same: Seperate breakers and isolators. They even stated what cabling must be used etc. I don't argue, I just do what they ask and charge accordingly.

I have also done a number of these installs. Coin operated washing machines and tumble driers.

They want a seperate circuit, breaker and isolator for each machine. Client to supply up to the isolator. They usually send out their own electrician to check the installation and do the final connection to the isolator.

    Peace out .. Derek.

I dont blame them ... Suppliers are getting smart there are plenty idiots out there who dont have a clue ... I find the bigger the mouth the less they know and worse the workmanship .. the last idiot cost one of the suppliers a lot of money ... all big mouth ... about the machine being the problem ... after a trip all the back to Germany as a faulty unit ... I was called in to offer a little guidance on the supplier side ... its turns out the problem was on site with the circuit breaker provided ... a simple breaker swop and imagine that ... it worked.
