    How to earth cooker earth

Hi I know this is going to seem a little daft asking this but here goes anyway. I went to change the old isolater switch for the cooker today and upon opening and observing the scrappy wiring job I realised the new 40A switch I had purchased doesn't have any place to wire in the earth like the old one. The old one is wired to the metal plate. Is it safe to leave the earth off and just wire the two sets of lives and neutrals or should I get an isolator with a metal plate.

Appreciate a little guidance. Ok so I'm not an electrician but I don't normally run into these sort of issues can anyone advise other than getting in an electrician please?

Just join the Earth to the earth that feeds to oven/cooker hood. You don't realy get metal plate isolators and switches these days as most are plastic. But your oven/cooker hood still needs to be earthed. So just join the eatths with a connector.

OOh ok . I think there were three earths or was there just two. Cooker hood electrics should all be together with cooker isolator yes? so it's really just a case of using a what amp connector block please?

Yes, just tie the earths together and use connector block.

Does it not matter what amp connector block I use? I mean I guess it will have to be fairly hefty or the three earths won't go in. LOL doh sorry. Thank you very much for your advice much appreciated
