Export of Excel Data to Pastel Xpress

    Hi There

My client has failed to embrace Quickbooks Online and wants to revert to Pastel run by her bookkeeper.

The company has only been trading since July, there are a few large sales invoices, bank transactions and no creditors to speak of.

Can I import all the transactions from Excel into Pastel or should I do it monthly?

    Any help appreciated.

The time to create all the import files would probably outweigh the benefit. I would suggest re-capturing the invoices. Using the Bank Manager you can import you bank statements from inception and map the recurring entries, eliminating the manual capturing of the cashbook. Is there stock/inventory involved? If so, you need to capture period by period and update the transactions in sequence, to get the correct average cost at time of sale.

    Thank you, Kevin.

No stock is involved and I take your point about the set-up time for the import files. As the volumes involved are small it makes sense just to import from bank statements and bolt on the other bits.
