    Coc

Hi guys, I am new to this forum and newly registered installation electrician. Need to know if I add a new plug circuit to an existing installation, do I test the entire DB for the COC?

And that where the fight started
Comments are based on opinion...not always facts....that's why people use an alias.

I would take the necessary readings at the DB , loop voltage etc , to enable completion of the form . Under comments I would state new socket from existing socket circuit , or from where ever you took it, and state that the coc is only for the one socket.

If I saw obvious incorrect wiring , I would also state under comments that " faults were observed , Have notified homeowner that a inspection is recommend " or alternatively " have supplied quotation to homeowner to carry out a full inspection due to faults observed on the installation of a new socket "

At least that way if anybody tries to come back at you your ass is covered.
Make sure you keep copies of COC's issued for record purposes
