I've been with my employer for just over 6 years now.

At the initial time of employment, it was standard for them to only employ staff on fixed term contracts.

About 2.5 years ago, there was a big push to get the entire staff contingent moved from fixed terms to permanent contracts.

At the time, my contract was on the brink of expiring, and our leadership, out of fear of running out of time, extended my contract, with the promise that at the next renewal date, I would be moved over to permanent.

Like mentioned, this was 2.5 years ago, and at the end of every 6-month cycle my contract is just renewed again, while all other staff have been moved to permanent, and new staff are also appointed permanently.

I have discussed this with our leadership recently, but there was no real concrete indication that this would be rectified. I also highlighted that not being permanent, cuts me off from the perks the permanent staff do receive.

What are my options?
