VAT registration

Hi all

I have a new client who has recently registered a company and has won a government tender.

He asked whether he is able to register for VAT at this stage and as far as I understand the earliest he would be able to is after 2 months where he has had revenue of at least R4 200 per month.

Is there any other way to register or is my information correct?

Can the VAT registration now be completed online via efiling and be issued with a number once successful?

You can register via efiling and have a Vat registration certificate within a day
I have been through the process myself and advised 2 other people on the process and the report back was successful
Have attached the process that I used , or I should say , had my accountant use .
