    Wire mesh cable tray

Hi guys Quick question I am currently looking at some installation at a friends workshop, Supply cable is running with copper pipe in same cable tray/wire mesh, is this correct? I simply cannot find info on SANS 10142 REGARDING this. Is it acceptable?

I will be watching this thread with interest ... every time i install a cable tray in a factory ... when i return a couple weeks later ... there are copper airlines ... PVC water pipes ... aircon copper pipes and pvc drain pipes ... CCTV ... alarm wires you name it.
Comments are based on opinion...not always facts....that's why people use an alias.

To my knowledge it a definite no.
Assuming its a galvanised tray there will be corrosion between the materials.
A basket tray is not an approved method to install a water pipe according to sans 10252.
There are a chance for induced voltage to the pipe.
Hot services like hot water pipe will cause unnecessary heating of cables.
