SARS has warned that tax procrastinators only have until midnight tonight to stop dragging their feet, and should not wait until Thursday to submit their returns online.

Those who had left their filing to the last minute hoping to e-file before the deadline of January 31 only had today left to register online and fax their intent to e-file, as Sars required up to 48 hours to process applications to e-file. As a result, those who registered on Wednesday could miss the boat and pay the penalty.
