    Backdating VAT registration

    Greetings,

Is there an experienced VAT guru on this forum that I can engage to backdate VAT registration? We got our VAT registration back in November, but I need to backdate to Feb 2020. Please let me know if you are interested and have the relevant experience. Thanks, Kamal.

We usually have the issue where SARS wishes to backdate the clients and we don't want it backdated due to the (mostly new clients) not being aware they had to register,

But I am guessing you can try and write a letter submitting your case that based on a sales report ( or profit and loss) the company was compulsory required to be registered in terms of the VAT Act on xxxx date when the sales exceeded R 1 million turnover, if it was expected but did not exceed R 1 million they most likely won't change, your best luck will be with a compulsory turnover (even if this is intra-group)
