    WiFi notification

I am looking for a device or devices which can send a notification to an app when a heater is switched on ... there are 25 heaters ... 3 motors and a light.

I want to fit a relay 230 volt relay (all the devices are 230 v) so when the coil/light/heater for example is energised ... a relay must switch a device and display the status of the coil/light/heater on an app.

Do you just want the notification on if a device is turned on or off?
I should be able to build you something that can send a notification.
    Contact me to discuss.

I want to be able to open an app and view the status of the device ... on or off ... no other information ... I dont want the phone beeping/notification everytime there is an operation ... if I open the app on a sunday morning (or any other time of day/week) I want to be able to check if any of the units are running.

It must be wireless ... but the device can be mounted in the machine ...there is 400/230 volts available.

I also dont want to have it linked via a server ... which has a monthly fee.

Look at these products. There might be something up your alley. They are sold over the counter by Communica.

Well, ultimately you would need some sort of server or something that collects all the information.
If you want to host it yourself, that is fine.

I would recommend something like an ESP8266-based device which uses WiFi (like the Sonoff devices).
You can just write your own software for it and report it to a Home Assistant installation which you host yourself on something like a Raspberry Pi.

I do something similar at home.

You can also use https://www.adafruit.com/ as a one off free hosting service, but you will need to write software for the IOT equipment.

    My suggestion:
Custom code on a Sonoff Basic device.

    1. Easy to write code for and program.
    2. Includes 230V psu power and box/cover.
    3. Relay for potentially turning on/off and overriding.
    4. Readily available in ZA.
    5. Cheap to import en-masse from banggood or ali. (Banggood is great btw for thing like this.)

All you need is someone to write the code and do some minor soldering work on the Sonoff Basic or do it yourself.

This project is in a factory environment ... so something which has to be taken into consideration ... some sort of certification of the product.

If there is a problem with the product and it results in an insurance claim ... would the insurance cover the claim?

I am considering installing CBI ASC units ... the reason ...it should have some form of certification ... it will do what I need to do ...I just need to find out if I can run 30 units on one site.

The Sonoff Units have some certification:

The question is just what certifications do you need.
