    VAT on second hand car

    Hi

I bought a motor vehicle five years ago on my CC, but did not claim VAT as it was a motor car and I was not allowed to. Now I want to sell the car to a dealer, do I charge him VAT, or will it be a VAT exempt invoice? Considering I couldn't claim the VAT initially, it doesn't make sense to pay the VAT now... Please help?

    Thanks...

Your recoupment is limited to what you claimed, so no VAT
