I am busy with my security lighting ... the security lighting has a few options to switch ... a light switch ... a remote and the app on my phone.
To achieve this it requires 12VDC relays which are mounted in junction boxes in the roof and some inside the light switch box.
I managed to find a relay which has a surge protection on the contact side (contacts are rated for 230 VAC) and they are enclosed in a plastic housing.
In the junction boxes in the roof I have installed a row of terminals and a row of relays ... however in the switch there is no space ... so the relay is tucked in behind the switch ... I have used 0.5 mm twin flex to wire the 12 VDC power.
SANS requirement with regards to 12VDC and 230 VAC in the same enclosure?
