When you think that's a 40 year prediction, it really is very impressive.

well, if you mean in an imaginative way, then you would be correct. but very few of those have been created (if at all?)

Let's look at the hits and misses.

Business meeting 300 miles away is a day trip event - hit
Computer guided navigation sensitive to traffic conditions - hit
    Flat screen TV - hit
    Flying car - miss
Plastic roads - miss (but his faith in the future of plastic is noteworthy)
Domed city - miss (but some cities you can get around without being exposed to the elements much)
    TV phone - hit
    Electronic newspaper - hit
Touch-screen drawing and sending to remote location - hit
    Self parking cars - miss
Private cars banned from inner city cores - near hit (central London has a premium charge - Manhattan parking is prohibitively expensive)
US population at 350 million - pretty close - I'll give a hit
Importance of transport to the economy - hit
Tube trains pushed by compressed air - miss
Commercial rocket travel - miss (but it's on the horison)
Home construction and maintenance - pretty good
    Ready meals - hit
    Importance of computer - hit
Repairman showing up before appliance failure - miss
    Card transactions - hit
    Online shopping - near miss
    Entertainment - near miss
    More spare time - miss
Struggle to keep up with technology - hit
World information available almost instantaneously - hit
    Typical vacations - miss
    Farming - near miss
    Marine farming - near miss
    Medical - near miss

I think one of the things to bear in mind is that some of the misses are arguably already possible - there just hasn't been widespread adoption yet.
