Question Pastel - Year End change ISSUE

    Good Morning all,

I have been struggling with my pastel year-end roll over... When I follow the procedure to change year-end, Pastel requests to close/delete outstanding batches BUT I cannot delete any batches...as displayed in the image below:

So as requested to open the batch viewer to see open batches, as shown in the image below:

So the problem arises when I select the batches from the second image and want to delete it this is the issue it gives me...

Pastel keeps telling me to delete the batches which are already deleted... How do I solve this issue to allow me to roll over to new year?

Also regarding my purchase orders, not all orders have been received... What do I do with my purchase orders during roll-over? Do I leave my PO's during roll-over?

MUCH APPRECIATED IN ADVANCE for any help given <3

    have a lekker day!

    Hi AlexandersGuild,

I don't know if it is just an incorrect "choice of word" problem but batches should be updated not deleted.

If you have deleted them it may be that you have to restore your company to the point before you deleted them so that they can be updated.

You can also put the purchase orders on hold for the roll-over, by clicking the "On Hold" at the top left hand side boxes which would put a tick in it. After the roll-over remember to remove the tick.

    Hi Mike,

thanks for your reply. Sorry for my poor choice of words.

Every time it requests to remove or delete the batches. I goto a specific batch such as supplier invoices. When it prompts me with current supplier documents that are "outstanding" I select them as such:

I select one of those two documents and it prompts me with "Document deleted, cannot be used". So how can one remove these batches that pastel is requesting it to be removed when you cant select the document and its telling me that its already deleted although pastel is complaining that its still an open batch....

Really appreciate any help I can get!

Hi Alexander - from the look of that attachment you have some file corruption. Have you run the "file / data integrity" option yet?

If there are some corrupted files then Neville Bailey is the person to contact as he has the software to get into the data and may be able to help you. He is a member of this forum and you can send him a private message should you need him.

Only just saw this thread, sorry.

Even though the batches contain deleted documents, you still need to update the batch, by clicking on the Batch button at the bottom left of the screen, and then click on Update.

Purchase Orders do not need to be updated.
