Please could you explain the UIF claims process and how they calculate the pay out? Are the Covid19uif claims separate to normal UIF Claims?

Would UIF claimed by employees for reduced working hours during this period affect future claims should they need to claim in future for actual retrenchment or is it completely separate from retrenchments? So if employees were to withdraw from it now during this period, if the employees were to unfortunately be retrenched at a later stage, then would that money be there for them to claim from whilst being unemployed?
