Our company only recently found out that the SARS UIF payments are totally separate to actually registering with the DOL.
We've now got registered and have sent in all outstanding UI19 monthly declarations via email to the DOL.
We've got a former employee who is trying to file for his unemployment benefits (he was retrenched) but is battling to do so.
He also can't see our company on his personal ufiling profile.
Does anyone here:
1) Know if the company registration with DOL and the emailed monthly declarations will "show up" on his uFiling profile, or are the two systems separate?
2) Have any advice on who to speak to who can help him now claim his benefits - unfortunately he's not able to get back to a DOL office for quite some time (and he's been frustrated by several trips there that proved unsuccessful)
