What to look forward to in 2008

Well here we go. 2008 has started. May it be a great year for you.

2007 certainly was an interesting year. Some of that was the really nice side of interesting, like South Africa winning the Rugby World Cup and an SA team winning the Super 14 - even if that was the Bulls

Some was a little closer to the Chinese curse side of interesting, like the sub-prime fiasco and Kenya sliding from one of the more stable countries in Africa to absolute chaos virtually overnight.

As always, we'll have to drag some of the baggage of 2007 into 2008, but hopefully there is much we can leave behind too. It's part of the magic of starting a new year, that sense of starting anew.

So what have we got to look forward to in 2008?

Off the top of my head:

• The Olympics in China,
• the USA elections
• elections here in South Africa too (if I remember correctly)
