SARS e@syFile DOES NOT MERGE DB

Good afternoon,

I'm currently on SARS e@syFile Employer 6.9.9.

I used to have all our clients on one e@syfile. But I was pressed for time during the 201902 filing period and had someone that helped me. So I made a backup of my database and restored the backup on a black e@syfile. Now we had two e@syfile Databases that were exactly the same. I then did some clients and my assistant did the other clients' 201902 submissions.

For the 201908 submissions I need to merge the two databases back so that I just have all the clients on one e@syfile, but the DB does not want to merge. I select the file that I want to merge, insert the login and password and then I get the following message: "Database is not successfully merged. NOTE: The e@syfile Employer application will close when you click the okay button."

Does anyone have any idea how I can merge my databases? I've tried to contact SARS for help, but that was no help...
