    PASTEL XPRESS BANK RECON

I have been working with Pastel for many years, only needing the invoice side of things really. I have been doing the bank account, but only recently discovered the Bank Recon a few months ago. Needless to say I didn't understand all the ins and outs. Now I have discovered that the account does not balance correctly. Going back for years to try and find out where the mistake may be seems very daunting. Is there an "easy" way to overlook the difference.

    Hi Duckpond

If you have only been invoicing and haven't captured the rest of the entries, your balance sheet is probably not accurate anyway. If you aren't using it, then just post a general journal entry to the cashbook for the difference you need, and use a suspense account as the contra account.
