    COID Letter of good standing

Hi all, very quick question regarding the Compensation Fund.

I have gone on today, payed the assessment amount due, which has gone straight through and shows as 'settled' on my account. So I then click on 'Get Letter of Good Standing', and it comes up with the sentence 'LOGS cannot be issued, Expiry date is in the past'.

There's nothing in the FAQs to suggest what this might be - any idea anyone? The only thing the FAQs say is that you need to put the request in writing about a week before, but why would there be a request button on the page 'Get Letter of Good Standing' if you actually can't do that?

Thankfully, I just need to prove that the contribution has been made, but it's taken me about 12 months to get this far with it all, so a bit miffed to be pushed back with this!

    Thanks guys

    Hi Bexter12

I would like to ask if you ever came right with the compensation Funds' Letter of Good Standning. I am receiving the exact same problem as you did. I have also paid up, and as far as I understand, everything is in order, but I still get the message "LOGS cannot be issued, Expiry date is in the past". Unfortunately the call centre is closed due to the lockdown. I have sent many emails, but I cannot get joy from them.
Any help would be much appreciated.

    Regards

    Supervan007.

    Hi Supervan007

Yes, I did eventually get my LOGS! My issue turned out to be that I hadn't actually paid the year before which was due (so I'd paid up 2019-2020, but our employee started 2018 - it took me a phone call to the call centre to work it out!), I had just paid the current year. So as soon as I paid the previous year's contribution too, they gave me my letter!

Unfortunately now when I went to do this year's letter, it seems the system has been changed so I had other issues to contend with, but I got there in the end! Nothing seems easy here and when a system is working they find some reason to change it - you certainly need patience!

I hope this helps some and that you come right with your letter.

    Kind regards

Thanks a lot for the response Bexter12. I will talk with my bookkeeper, I think you might have given me the answer I require.

    Thanks.

    Hi Supervan007

Good to hear, I hope you're successful. Let me know how it goes - always good to hear other people's experiences with these systems!

    Have a good weekend
