Notification: Compensation Commissioner on-line services interruption

    Good morning all,

It was brought to our attention that the Department of Labour information and communication technology would be relocating their servers effective 21 February.

Shut down of the services is planned for 16H00 today and it is envisaged that all systems would be operational on the 25th of February. This implies that no business systems including Umehluko ( Workmans Compensation ), Siyaya ( UIF ) and ESSA ( Public Employment System ) would be available during this time.

If you planned to visit or raise any query with any of these institutions during the next two days, it is recommended that it be postponed until such time as the systems are up and running again.

    Johan

Has there been any more news on this transfer?
I notice I'm having serious difficulty filing returns on uFiling at the moment.

I'm finding uFiling is working, but it isn't coping with the load as well as it used to. Mind you, it didn't do too well on the 7th of each month before the move anyway. However, I'm not used to having problems the day before the deadline, which is why I was surprised at the problems experienced yesterday.

It seems both Workmen's Compensation Return of Earnings Online website and the uFiling Online website are down. I'm attaching the notice on the Workmen's Compensation website hereto for record purposes - just in case they get any bright ideas about charging late submission penalties and interest...

BTW - The Department of Labour website is also broken and is currently yielding spectacular error messages. Seems this server move hasn't gone as well as intended.

There seem to be a couple of web address problems at the moment - We are with Isat and it has been a problem since last week wednesday .
Being told that Internet Solutions has problems and are hosting numerous clients on there cloud system.Message pasted below.

Surprised that you still struggle with Workman's Compensation and have not changed across to FEM.

Dear client We apologise for the continued outage. Obviously the service from Internet Solutions has been completely unacceptable and unprofessional. We will be moving our services from their platform as soon as we possibly can. We will keep you informed about this migration. Our extreme apologies again. The latest message from them is: Dear IS Client UPDATE: IS engineers required to replace additional hardware and resync again. IMPACT: Intermittent connectivity ATTENDING: IS engineers STATUS: Attending

I have moved my electrical contracting company onto FEM. Unfortunately my other interests do not qualify.
