Notification: Compensation Commissioner on-line services interruption

    Good morning all,

It was brought to our attention that the Department of Labour information and communication technology would be relocating their servers effective 21 February.

Shut down of the services is planned for 16H00 today and it is envisaged that all systems would be operational on the 25th of February. This implies that no business systems including Umehluko ( Workmans Compensation ), Siyaya ( UIF ) and ESSA ( Public Employment System ) would be available during this time.

If you planned to visit or raise any query with any of these institutions during the next two days, it is recommended that it be postponed until such time as the systems are up and running again.

Has there been any more news on this transfer?
I notice I'm having serious difficulty filing returns on uFiling at the moment.

I'm finding uFiling is working, but it isn't coping with the load as well as it used to. Mind you, it didn't do too well on the 7th of each month before the move anyway. However, I'm not used to having problems the day before the deadline, which is why I was surprised at the problems experienced yesterday.

It seems both Workmen's Compensation Return of Earnings Online website and the uFiling Online website are down. I'm attaching the notice on the Workmen's Compensation website hereto for record purposes - just in case they get any bright ideas about charging late submission penalties and interest...

BTW - The Department of Labour website is also broken and is currently yielding spectacular error messages. Seems this server move hasn't gone as well as intended.

There seem to be a couple of web address problems at the moment - We are with Isat and it has been a problem since last week wednesday .
Being told that Internet Solutions has problems and are hosting numerous clients on there cloud system.Message pasted below.

Surprised that you still struggle with Workman's Compensation and have not changed across to FEM.

Dear client We apologise for the continued outage. Obviously the service from Internet Solutions has been completely unacceptable and unprofessional. We will be moving our services from their platform as soon as we possibly can. We will keep you informed about this migration. Our extreme apologies again. The latest message from them is: Dear IS Client UPDATE: IS engineers required to replace additional hardware and resync again. IMPACT: Intermittent connectivity ATTENDING: IS engineers STATUS: Attending

I have moved my electrical contracting company onto FEM. Unfortunately my other interests do not qualify.

So I visited the new Compensation Website today.

It will not accept your old password so you have to say that you have "forgotten" it and they email a new one to you.

                      The Website is VERY slow.

The only information that it had on it was the company's banking details.

There is no company name in the profile whatsoever. So, thinking that I might have to add it I went to the registration page and entered our reference number. After the circle spinning for some time it comes back to tell me that the company is already registered and therefore cannot be added.

So what now? I have written an email to them ... and wait with breathless anticipation ...

I got past the lost password routine and managed to file an Annual Return of Earnings on Monday morning.
I haven't received an assessment though.

I received a reply with a reference number informing me that my issue has been sent to the relevant division. So I thought I would check this morning and the company name has been added to my profile.

So well done to the CF-Helpdesk. It is appreciated.

Dave A - I think you may have to request it via "Request Account Balance" although that option might not be active yet. I haven't got that far yet but I did manage to find a CF User manual (34 pages).

                              Good morning, all

I have several clients that I've been struggling with. With some, the LoGS has been completely hassle free and sorted in no time. With other clients it's just a nightmare. And they're all at various stages of the process with CF just dragging their feet.

Calling them has been frustration central. I hold on average 30 minutes before they answer and then only help with 1 client. I have to make a separate call for each client. I have a list of 42 clients. This last week I hang up after 40 minutes in the queue.

I'm contemplating going to their offices next week. Is it worth it? Google maps lists 2 separate addresses. Can someone confirm the correct address?

If anyone has any advice, I'll gladly take it!

                              Thank you
