    cable specs for pivots

    HI all

Is there anyone here on the forum that can assist me with what size cable I need to run for a 3tower pivot .Actually there is two pivots in line. The first pivot is 375m from transformer and the second one is 450 m away from the first pivot.
Both these Pivots have 3 Towers on them.

    Thanks

    Hi
You need to provide a bit more info
Motor sizes , on soft start or direct on line , cable to be buried in the ground etc

    Hi.
    Thanks for the trouble.
No a pivot doesnt work the same as a normal motor load been pulled at point B.
If u dont know pivots and how they work then u wont be able to help.
Not trying to be rude. I can work out cable size and voltdrop on cable in general for D.O.L and Soft start/Drive ex. Air, ground, tray ex.
But if u dont no the specs for a 1T to 8T,10T then that tells me u wont know how to calculate it.
    Bit thanks for the reply.
    Have a lovely day

You need to be a little more specific when you randomly throw out a question on an open forum.

You must be reffering to an irrigation system...3 tower pivet.

So tell us what you know that we dont...i have worked on many different type of installations...from wiring up small domestic installations to massive projects like Alusaf ...RBM ...you name it...but i am always keen to learn something new...so share with us...there are a few really smart people on this forum...even though some of us dont act like it at times.
