    Pastel assistance required

    Good day forum members, thank you for accepting me to the forum.

    I own and manage a retail store that uses Pastel Express and Pastel POS. I had to recently replace the hard disk on my laptop with a SSD and all went well with all most all the software, EXCEPT Pastel.

    The version of Pastel Express on the POS server is V18.2.1 and the version I have on my laptop is Express V18.


    Can some one please guide me how to get going on my laptop again?

    Firstly, you need to install the correct version of Pervasive, as well as the correct build of Xpress V18 onto your laptop. Refer to the Help...About screen in Pastel on the server for details.

    Secondly, you need to map a drive from your laptop to the Xpress18 folder on the server.

    Finally, you need to register Xpress on your laptop, as a Workstation, by browsing to the Custom/Registration folder on the mapped drive.

    Not sure if your problem has been resolved, but have you tried Sage Accounting online along with humble till? Simple to use, and your backups are done in the cloud, so you can login anywhere, no issues when a harddrive crashes.
