Foreign income - Efiling not allowing home office expenses

Hi, I am a provisional tax payer. I get a monthly salary from my UK employer and it is paid into my UK account. I work from home in SA. I am completing my ITR12 but the home expenses field is greyed out. As my employer is abroad, I do not have a IRP5. Any idea?

You cant just claim home office because you work from home and earn salary from overseas
Home office is allowed if you work from home and earn income running a business, local business of trade and professional income, so therefore on tax return you must tick options that you earn income from business and wants to claim other expenses
You will have to declare income earned other than salary to claim home office expenses, the best is prepare income and expense statement and include all your related expenses to declare nett income
