Wiring advice for Home Automation Sonoff

    HI Guys

Interested in getting my house automated with a few sonoff products

My main concern was around the electrical wiring on the Light Switches .... I bought a sonoff 3x3 Touch Switch from Communica to see how this would work before investing more money into doing the whole house

Immediately came to the conclusion the wiring on the existing light switches (Brown/Blue/Green)are not the same and aborted the project until somebody with more knowledge could give me some answers.

The sonoff switches require a different wiring setup is there a way to get these to work without my CoC going down the drain.

I would really love to get these to working safely

    Any advice would be appreciated

    Hi

Without jumping to conclusions , something does not seem right and it should be a str swop - Can you post a photo of the existing switch wiring
You would need to be careful that your circuit breaker size is compatible with the Sonoff switch , which I think is a 10Amp rated switch -

The minute you play with your electrical installation the COC is no longer valid and a new COC would need to be issued for the work carried out , according to the OHSA.

The existing switch wiring is Blue/Brown going to back of the current Clipsal S2000 one way switch and then i have a stray earth (green/yellow) not connected to anything sitting all by itself in the wallbox. If you need a pick i will see if i can supply one this evening

Brown is a strange color to use , in this part of the world anyway, - I am assuming that you have a live going in and a switch wire back out - You are missing a neutral wire for the Sonoff switch .
You would need a contractor to pull in a neutral wire from the light point to the switch assuming that you have conduit coming down to the switch box
